This section is for organisations which do not necessarily have shelters or any re-homing facilities but are mainly concerned with changing people's attitudes to animal welfare. In some cases it was difficult to decide whether an organisation should be in this section or the RESCUERS or the ANIMALS sections - please check both.   • Animal Aid www.animalaid.org.uk  One of the World"s most comprehensive animal rights web sites. Information about campaigns and news (we get some of our news for our Mailing List Newsletter from this site) Superb site, packed with information.

  • CAPS. Captive Animals Protection Society: http://www.captiveanimals.org CAPS is opposed to the use of performing animals in circuses and wishes to see animal circuses outlawed. FoA works to cultivate a respectful view of nonhuman animals, free-living and domestic. Our goal is to free animals from cruelty and institutionalized exploitation

  • Greyhound Action Scotland: http://www.greyhoundactionscotland.org.uk: Campaign to raise public awareness into the exploitation of racing greyhounds. Campaign aiming towards achieving a ban on greyhound racing in Scotland.

  • West Yorkshire Hunt Saboteurs: Yorkshire : http://westyorkshirehuntsabs.wordpress.com/: West Yorkshire Hunt Saboteurs use non-violent direct action to stop blood sports around Yorkshire, and assist other groups to do the same around the country. We mainly focus on fox and hare hunting (Illegal in the UK since 2005), but we are also involved in campaigns against shooting, Hare coursing, rabbiting (rabbit hunting) and other forms of hunting.
