8 July;London: Hello,
My partner Chu-Li and I are filmmakers/ sound-recordists who specialise in the field of artistic/ experimental documentary with a particular interest in nature and wildlife. Our work is produced primarily out of a love for film form and for the subjects themselves. They are not intended for TV broadcast or for any political, mainstream purpose etc. Our last project was filmed in Borneo with an Iban community and involved filming many creatures in the jungles of Sarawak. You can find more info on our website- http://www.flyingant.org.uk/film. I wanted to get in touch because we are looking to make a short film about someone who adopts and shelters wild and semi-wild animals in a remote (or fairly remote) part of the UK. We are particularly interested in finding someone who is more reclusive and who works in quite a solitary, alternative fashion, unconnected to the more well-known/ major organisations. If you have any ideas or would be willing to point us in the right direction please feel free to contact me at anytime,
Best,
Adam

Faringdon, Oxfordshire: Ever wanted to learn about Natural Horsemanship and horses but have been too nervous or too broke?
Effective Horsemanship has a tremendous opportunity for you! A research project requires participants for a two day introduction to natural horsemanship course for a one time offer of just 30 pounds per day. No previous experience of horses or Natural Horsemanship is required. This will be a ground workshop which means there will be no riding, it is perfect for beginners in Natural Horsemanship or anyone who has always liked horses but been too nervous to try riding. It is a wonderful experience and your participation will help further research in the area of Equine Facilitated Education. Participants in return for low costs will be asked to agree to an interview before and after the course and complete a brief survey.
The dates are 1st and 2nd March, and the location will be near Faringdon, Oxfordshire, England. Lunch is included (sandwiches and soup!). Places are limited so contact cathy@effectivehorsemanship.com if you want to hold a place or just get more information about the research project

Please sign the petition to get a televised fundraising event on TV in support of animal rescue / welfare, animal charities, non profits etc. This event would be similar to comic relief / Red nose day, but all money raised would go to help animals in the UK & abroad.
So many animals could benefit from an event such as this, it only takes a second to sign. Thank you http://www.thepetitionsite.com/2/animals-in-need-tv-fundraising-event
